Initially, page layout software and web design software was so complex that there was a huge learning curve. That can still be the case if you’re a graphic designer using Adobe InDesign (the current defacto standard) but if you want to build a website, online website builders like SquareSpace (used to build and host MoistInk) make it relatively easy for anyone to build a professional website. When I started in the website building business we used to charge hundreds of thousands of dollars to build a website, using coders in India and Argentina. Now you can do it yourself for a few hundred dollars and your time.
